Snowboarding in Autumn
Zimtstern “Leaves” from Zimtstern Snowboarding on Vimeo.
A great juxtaposition of elements otherwise unrelated. Next I want to see them shoot a spot with people skiing through a volcano. That’d be pretty hot :p
Dope Art From ISE

I love the use of colors and line in artist ISE’s work. The use of patterns overlaying her work gives her characters a realistic but simultaneously ethereal feeling. Check out her blog here.

visual.journaling.for.free.?
“I don’t need to pay anyone to teach me how to paste some pictures in a journal”, I thought initially when reading this page about a visual journaling camp. I’m one who is all for alternative learning methods and inspiration, but is an mp3 that tells me how to paste pictures into a journal really worth my $20?
I’m normally an isolated learner, but the prospect of meeting with other creatives and discussing their creative processes might actually be worth some time. I just made an evernote to try this myself, and then maybe try setting up a meetup on meetup.com for free for creatives in my area. I’ll keep you all posted on the progress of this idea.
design.with.an.environment
One of the hardest aspects of designing interfaces for me is figuring out a way to marry a minimalist, functional aesthetic with an actual representation of it’s environmental function. I feel like this bench that was featured on design spotter really gets it done.
A nice piece indeed. Here’s the original article.
retro.illustrations.patrick.leger
While “retro” is a style that will always and forever be overused, it has been something that I’ve been thinking about adding to my arsenal. Here are some artworks done by patrick leger. I think that the thing that inspires me most or speaks to me most about his work or this style is the use of line and color. There’s a lot going on here, but there’s also a feeling of minimalism as well.
His portfolio can be found here.
